Enterprise World 2018 – Wrap Up

 In Announcement, Conference

Wow – what an event Enterprise World 2018 turned out to be.

OpenText’s Enterprise World in Toronto is one of the largest Enterprise Information Management industry events of the year for Infospire and many of our clients and partners.  Straight out, Enterprise World 2018 was bigger and better than ever before and here’s a look back to some of the key announcements that we are the most excited about.

  • OpenText OT2 the next-generation hybrid cloud platform announced during Mark Barrenechea’s keynote session speaking on The Intelligent and Connected Enterprise. OT2 is build from the ground up as a true SaaS application and is creating along with Release 16 EP Series the blueprint for the future of EIM.
  • Content Services the newest generations of Content Services build on the strengths of Extended ECM to help organizations to better and more efficiently integrate leading systems in the cloud or on premise. In our view Content Services will play a critical role in this transition phase toward the intelligent enterprise.
  • Exstream for Salesforce is the logical evolution of the widely poplar Extended ECM for Salesforce extension, bringing the same robust Customer Communication Management capabilities to Salesforce. While this announcement did not come to us as a big surprise, we sure are excited about it and look forward providing our Salesforce clients with comprehensive end-to-end ECM solutions. Salesforce clearly dominates the customer relationship management space for now, but we keep a close eye on how SAP will evolve with their recent SAP C/4HANA platform announcement.
  • Run anywhere finally seeing OpenText opening up its Extended ECM platform to run it other major cloud players such as Amazon, Azure and Google is definitely a step into the right direction and at the right time as other enterprise software vendors such as SAP have made similar multi-cloud announcements this year.

We look forward to seeing you again next year at Enterprise World 2019 (dates to be announced) your Infospire team.
